About the Project

This project consisted of the construction of a masonry vault building to house the electrical equipment and backup generator for the new taxiway ‘A’ LED lights at the Gainesville Regional Airport. Scherer Construction worked as a subcontractor for Rilee Sand Kris Construction out of Sanford, FL. Scherer’s scope of work included site work, concrete, the construction of the 693 square foot masonry vault, milling and paving to existing asphalt, and underground utilities.

The building scope included concrete, the building scope included masonry walls, structural steel roof supports with metal roof, paint, door and hardware and HVAC.
