Worthington Springs Community Center

This 4,100 SF, value engineered and designed building includes a large meeting room with coffered ceilings, a full kitchen with granite countertops, public restrooms, and a council meeting room with a granite top conference table. The facility also houses the office of the Town Clerk. Scherer self-performed the site and concrete work. The owner previously competitively bid the project, but the prices were all over the proposed budget. After meeting with the architect, Scherer was able to value-engineer and design a new building of the same size that would still meet the needs of the town with substantial savings for the owner.
